Guests of Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill are in for a treat. The hotel has created a series of special promotions to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Sir Winston Churchill, who the hotel is named after, becoming Prime Minister.
The hotel was honored to welcome the family of Sir Winston Churchill last week to mark the occasion, including his grandchildren Randolph Churchill, Celia Sandys and Emma Soames.
Inspired by the great leader, a new promotion – the Churchill Commemorative – offers guests a weekend stay full of Churchill favorites, including a bottle of Pol Roger champagne, a chocolate cigar and tickets to the Churchill War Rooms. More information on the package, which is available now and through the end of 2015, can be found here.
And there’s more! All diners at The Montagu and The Churchill Bar & Terrace will receive a special “Words of Winston” fortune cookie, exclusively created by the hotel, featuring one of Winston Churchill’s famous quotes inside.
In May, The Montagu restaurant is also set to introduce a special “Tummy Time” menu, named after Sir Winston Churchill’s nickname when hungry. The menu will include some of his favorite “tummy time” treats, such as mini-roast beef and Yorkshire puddings, and stilton with crackers.
Plus, guests can buy special Churchill-themed gifts at the gift shop Concierge & Co, and a unique piece of artwork is now on show in the lobby based on one of Churchill’s original suit patterns provided by his personal tailors Henry Poole & Co.
“I was delighted to welcome the Churchill family to our hotel as well as Hyatt President and CEO Mark Hoplamazian to mark this important anniversary,” said Michael Gray, general manager of Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill. “I’m very excited about our special promotions, which I believe will provide our guests, both business and leisure travelers, with a truly unique and authentic stay.”
Later this year, Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill will undergo a multimillion pound renovation that will involve many of the hotel’s guestrooms and suites. Redesigning the rooms will be international interior designer DeSallesFlint, using the most luxurious fabrics and furnishings to create an elegant, sophisticated and contemporary ambience.
