About Steve Farzam

Steve Farzam is the COO of Shore Hotel, located in Santa Monica, California. He is an experienced leader in hospitality, having taken root in the industry at a very young age. Steve’s family began in Seattle with a meager hotel, which inspired Steve to set on the path of service, hospitality, and astounding dedication to excel in all that he sets his mind to.

Steve earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Cal State University Northridge and most recently earned his Juris Doctorate at William Taft Law School. He also received his National Registry Paramedic certification where he first began his career in the service industry, primarily focusing on emergency medicine. Steve Farzam later went on to work as a flight paramedic in Arizona while also teaching as a professor of emergency medicine at a local college. Additionally, Steve previously taught treatment modalities to First Responders and EMT’s in the EMS Program at Southwestern College and taught at East Los Angeles College as an EMT instructor.

After his reverent career in public service, Steve followed in his family’s footsteps and entered into hospitality management. He supervised the building of the Shore Hotel, quickly launching operations solo and diving into his role as COO. He is steadfast in maintaining a delicate balance of his roles and responsibilities to take the Shore Hotel to new heights.

Steve Farzam is committed to reducing the Shore Hotel’s carbon footprint. He aims to minimize the hotels’ impact on the environment, all while maximizing its positive impact on guests, staff, and locals alike. Thanks to Steve leading a variety of groundbreaking initiatives, the Shore Hotel has earned hundreds of awards and accolades for environmental responsibility and green stewardship.

As the COO of a highly rated hotel in one of the top ten beach cities in the world, Steve is not only experiences in the business side of hospitality and travel, but in the guest side as well.
